WTF Disco Part 2 - Ethel Puts On A Show

If Disco Mickey is the Ford of WTF Disco, then the Merc of the genre has to be The Ethel Merman Disco Album.

This is the disco album "the Merm" recorded in 1979, a few years before her death. Rumour has it that Merman couldn't stand the disco craze that was sweeping the nation in the late '70s, recording her vocals before the instrumental tracks were laid down.

Truly one of those WTF were they thinking moments, to coin a phrase from the liner notes, Ethel is “hot as a pistol!”
